Recently there has been a lot of buzz surrounding WorldConnect’s privacy policies. As the programmer for WorldConnect I would like to take a few minutes to explain how WorldConnect displays information for living persons.
The message board team has been busy in the last couple of weeks fixing bugs and developing additional adjustments to the message boards.
Sorry that you haven’t heard from your RootsWeb development team in a few weeks – rest assured that we haven’t just been sitting around watching American Idol, we’re programming while we watch American Idol (that was just a joke, of course, the satellite TV hookup in the office is still on order) (that was a joke, too).
We are very excited to announce that on January 1 the RootsWeb/Ancestry message boards surpassed 18 million posts! This is a huge milestone for the message boards and we’ll be updating the information on the message board home page soon.

2006 was a great year for RootsWeb with many exciting additions and updates to the site! Thanks to the contributions and participation by RootsWeb members, RootsWeb has continued to grow.
